The system is simple:
You register your details together with your mobile telephone number on
the registration document that follows this presentation.
You will receive notification that you have registered your mobile and
that you have authorised your mobile phone number to receive text alerts
if an emergency occurs in your locality.
If a child goes missing, and it is serious enough for the matter to be reported
to the Police, any parent who has joined this service may request text alerts
to be issued in their locality.
Details of the circumstances surrounding
the Child’s disappearance, together with their description, are now texted
to every subscriber in that locality so that, if they see the child, they can
then report the matter to the Police.
There is a special website supporting
this service which will show an up-to-date picture of the missing child and
give more details of the circumstances in which they went missing. Parents
who receive a text alert will be encouraged to visit this website to learn
more.

Join the Text Alert Campaign to help find missing children
By registering for this service you will be supporting parents
in your locality should a child go missing. If by any chance it is your child
that gets lost then, of course, you will be able to use the service to help
find your own child.
We would emphasise that this service is completely free even though it involves considerable cost in its operation.
